She has a deep understanding of the chemistry and physics of nanomaterials, and she is skilled in a variety of synthetic and analytical techniques. During her PhD, she developed a new method for synthesizing high-quality nanocrystals with controlled size and morphology. She also developed new methods for functionalizing these nanocrystals with MRI contrast agents. Her work has resulted in more than five high-impact publications in quartile 1 journals, and she has presented her research at several international conferences. In addition to her strong scientific skills, Dr. Whba is also an excellent communicator and collaborator. She is able to clearly and concisely explain her research to both scientists and non-scientists alike. She is also a team player and is always willing to help others.
