The criteria for authorship in the International Journal of Nanomaterials, Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine (IJNNN) is based on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations. The recommendations are as follows:
All scholars who meet the first criterion should have the opportunity to participate in the review, drafting, and final approval of the manuscript. All co-authors and responsible authorities at the place where research was carried out should have approved the submitted version of manuscript. In addition to being accountable for the parts of the work he or she has done, an author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for specific other parts of the work. In addition, authors should have confidence in the integrity of the contributions of their co-authors.
IJNNN includes only one corresponding author per article. Any further contribution details (eg, equal contribution) must be included in the contributors or acknowledgement sections at the end of the article. We wish to ensure that authors' do not have a conflict of interest regarding name inclusion and all authors included on an article fulfil the criteria of authorship.
In case of any disagreements among authors, we follow guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). IJNNN is in process of evaluation for COPE membership.
